The Trager® Approach is a pleasurable, gentle and effective approach to movement education and mind/body integration. The Trager Approach helps release deep-seated physical and mental patterns and facilitates deep relaxation, increased physical mobility, and mental clarity.
TRAGER® PRINCIPLES
• Live and work aware of the vast ocean of pleasantness that surrounds and supports us.
• Explore, be curious. Let go of your agendas, decisions, judgments, what you want to achieve. Instead appreciate what is.
• When you meet resistance, go lighter. Ask What could be lighter? What could be easier? What could be freer? What could be softer? Communicate lightness, freedom, soft, ease, with your own body and mind.
• Get it in yourself- you can only give what you honestly have.
• Let the feeling of the touch nourish you, feed your hands with luxurious full contact. Feeling the weight is one way to do this. When you have the full weight, there is ease.
• It is in the pauses that the integration happens, that change is accepted into the body/mind.
• Recall strengthens the feeling state and subsequent response each time we use it.

TRAGER® INTRODUCTORY WORKSHOP
The Trager® Introductory Workshop introduces participants to the Trager® Approach. Principles and concepts are explored through Mentastics®, Trager® movements designed to produce the same feelings of relaxation in the body/mind that a hands-on session produces. Time permitting, a few Trager® principles may be explored at the table.
The Trager® Introductory Workshop fulfills a prerequisite for entering the Trager® Professional Training Track. It is also a wonderful way to spend the day. Becoming more aware of your body, finding peace in that inner place that defines who you are, not what you do, or have done- the day can be an oasis in the pace of your professional and personal life.
