Dynamic Energy Balancing®: Integrating Suppressed Emotion
...with Ethics: Transference & Countertransference

Instructor Nancy Toner Weinberger

The ability to give an energy work session is the only prerequisite for all participants.

Course Description:

When we have a life experience that doesn't feel good to us, we often suppress that feeling or emotion rather than feeling into it. Each time we do this we are separating ourselves from the real-time, real-life, direct experience of what is happening in our life. As we continue to hold ourselves separate from the real experience of living our life as it actually is, we use up our valuable energy resources to keep that suppressed feeling in place. Over time, as we suppress more and more feelings, we use up more and more of our energy resources keeping all the suppressions in place. Both bodywork and energy work can loosen the holding and in doing so, bring on the old suppressed feelings as they rise to the surface of our awareness to be felt and completed.

In this class, you will learn how to facilitate this natural healing process through energy work, breath, and verbal support. This is a facilitation process- we never force. When we create a safe space for healing, our natural yearning for more aliveness, more awareness, more energy and health, engages all on its own. We support the process; we do not cause it.

The class will include exercises, discussion, lecture, guided meditations and breathwork sessions, and energy work trades. 21CE hours are awarded.

Course Materials: Massage tables will be needed. Bring a set of sheets and any blankets or pillows you may need for your comfort while on the table in prone, supine and side-lying positions. You may also wish to bring a mat or blanket for the floor if your table does not fold down flat.

Ethics: Transference & CounterTransference - This Ethics class is only offered in association with this Dynamic Energy Balancing course and is a required part of the course. (3 CE hrs in Ethics)
